My objective is to use visual & new media to assist me in the ancient healing practice of story-telling, in particular the story of living with recurrent episodes of profound sadness, the focus of my doctoral dissertation.

My research method, organic inquiry, emphasizes the healing power of telling, listening, and honoring stories. By creating and sharing this visual narrative with others, I am an active participant in my own healing; using digital media to share this story, my prayer is seeds of understanding and healing can be planted in others.

Working with a documentary film maker, I answered, re-answered, and expanded upon my research and interview questions over a period of about 3 months.
